Architect, resident of Budaörs, active in the life and organisation of civil cultural events in the city. She is the founder of the Twentyforty Association, which organises, among other things, built environment education sessions and summer architecture camps for children. She is a regular guest of the Primanima festival, and one year she even served as a jury member. At the 10th Primanima, the Major was the venue for the Jumpstart Installation, and at the 11th Primanima, the works of Contemporary Animation Horizons from the Hungarian workshop will be presented there.

What kind of animation movies have you watched when you were young?

Everything that came. I was a child in the beginning of the 70's and 80's. Every night I watched TVsports-TVbear-bedtime story-Tvbear combo. I liked everything, but ‘Frakk’, ‘Mekk Master’ and the ‘Mézga family’ were my favourites.

You work as an architect, do you think this gives you an extra point of view when you are watching an animation movie? What kind of viewpoint will you use more during your jury?

For the architects the culture and the graphics are really important. I like the minimalist, clear appearance more, which is also determinative in today’s architecture style. Unwittingly I am attracted to simple, harmonical, minimalistic things – also in the case of animation movies.

You also have children. What kind of relationship do you have with animation movies for children?

As my children grew up, I watched with them again my childhood Hungarian cartoon series that were released on DVD. They also really liked them. They grew up in that way, that we do not have a TV channel connected – they watched what we had on DVD.

Later also came others, animations that were released nowadays – we watched almost everything which is available. Our family favourites were Aardman Animations short movies from Britain – ‘Shaun sheep’, ‘Wallace and Gromit’ and their partners. I can watch every episode from them anytime.

You are here every year in Primanima with your family. What do you think, why is it worth coming?

With my family we could not miss it – this year (2022) also one of my daughters is taking part in the student jury.

Being from Budaörs is very interesting to see how our sleepy town changes to a fresh, cultural city full of foreign people. But not only for the ones from Budaörs is interesting – the festival programme is always interesting. It is good to see what type of problems are interesting for them, what and how they release it in their short movies. Every movie is a small world – these days are about that, like in a trip we are tasting these small experiences.

What kind of architectural initiatives are today in Budaörs?

We have a small local architectural association, Twentyfourty Association, and we have regular architecture exhibitions, programmes in the Zichy Major building.

Now we have an interesting installation in the big exhibition area: we made a waving space from construction scaffolding that we can change in the way that our program is asking for. During the festival, we will have more programs and exhibitions in this place. I hope the festival crowd will find it interesting.
